Giovanna Suppa
Giovanna Suppa is a dancer, choreographer, and embodied dance facilitator devoted to the art of feminine expression through movement. With a background in dance in Italy, her performance journey spans a rich variety of stages and styles, starting as a podium dancer at Back to Boogie Wonderland since its inception, where she creates and adapts unique costumes to match each month’s theme. She has performed at Subsonic Festival, collaborating with Creature Creatives and dancing with silk fans and LED wings.
Her versatility extends to fire dance performances at Greenwood, collaborations with Deliv’art, and diverse works at Roots Festival, where she has performed archetypal embodiment pieces, opening ceremonies, and sensual choreographies alongside her students from The Embodied Women. In 2024, Giovanna performed with Deya Dova at her Sydney concert, embodying movement as a form of prayer and empowerment.
She is also the Performance Manager at Roots Festival (for the second year in a row), coordinating performers and overseeing all aspects of the two-night performance program. Giovanna is the founder of The Embodied Women, her own dance movement dedicated to guiding women to reconnect with their bodies, awaken their sensuality, and embody liberated confidence.
