His musical journey began at the age of 5, when he first entered the Conservatory. He was quickly charmed by the

liberating sounds of Freejazz, idolizing the likes of John Coltrane, Miles Davis, or Sun Ra, while nourishing a profound

affection for film music.

But his passion didn't stop there - at 12, he was already producing hip hop beats for renowned French artists and delved

deeper into the world of electronic music, discovering a revolutionary way of manipulating sound material.

From the classic melodies of Eric Satie and Keith Jarett to the modern beats of J. Dilla, Matthew Herbert, Ricardo

Villalobos or Four Tet, his ability to dismantle and transform his influences results in an original sound that breaks the

mold, while maintaining genuine substance and artistic integrity.

Viken Arman honed his experience in Parisian nightclubs such as the legendary Rex Club. He contributed to the

emergence of a news global scene since 2010, with his collective Minimal Trip - bringing young international talents to

Paris for their first performances; his label Denature Records - singing over 20 artists, including Stavroz, Acid Pauli, Nicola

Cruz or dOP; his international Festival SouQ - bringing together thousands of soulful people every year in Paris, before

expanding to Europe, Middle East, and the Americas.

Over the years he navigated his way to iconic clubs and festivals worldwide taking center stage with his nuanced,

unreserved, and poetic music. Securing 6 EPs, his latest release 'Willow' topped N*1 of the Beatport Chart Electronica,

while his Cercle Live reached over 1 million views, cementing his status as one of the most innovative artists of the scene.

Always looking to explore new horizons, he acts as a true artistic bridge, collaborating with musicians from a diverse

range of genres and performing with the likes of Acid Pauli, The Lebanese Philharmonic Orchestra, Tigran Hamasyan,

the jazz legend Michel Portal, or the saxophonist rebel Guillaume Perret.

He keeps on refining his sound with each project he undertakes, from exploring new techniques like integrating new

modular sound or delivering a wild six-hour improvisational concert at the legendary New Morning in Paris. For Viken

Arman, his creative pursuit brought him last to Berlin, where he concretized his new mutation with the release of the 9-

track opus LP "Alone Together".

Viken Arman also holds a deep connection to his roots, actively investing in the cultural and artistic scene in his home

country of Armenia. In 2016, he participated in the creation of an Independent Modern Art Museum in Yerevan with the

collective Rambalkoshe, offering a real creative alternative, with exhibitions and concerts by local and international artists.
