Dread Maiden

Dread Maiden is a Newcastle-based DJ at the helm of Newy Bass Crew. Her sets move through deep, rolling jungle and drum and bass with psychedelic and dub influence - driven by a passion for creating both high-energy moments and emotionally charged passages on the dancefloor.

She's supported the likes of Dillinja, Unglued, Serial Killaz, Visages, ASHEZ, Hypho, PAV4N, Chmura, Paige Julia, Teddy Killerz, Saturna and KOAN Sound, and played festivals including Dragon Dreaming, Subsonic, Earth Frequency, Antigravity, Art Valley, Rootbound, and Rain Dance.

With an ever-evolving, eclectic sound, she continues to explore the depths of underground bass while pushing for stronger female representation in the bass scene.
